Coming soon in Apideo

We only released Apideo 1.0 a few weeks ago, and we are already working hard to release the next version that will probably be numbered v1.5.

Here is a sneek peak into features to come:

• The real killer feature that justifies a new version is the No SDK mode. One constant complaints we had about Apideo was that the SDK was not easy to install on servers. Although it was just a few files to copy, we managed to get completely rid of it! So in the future, you will directly reference the JS file on our server at api.apideo.com/apideo.js. And that's it!
• This is only good news since:
  • Those files are served from our CDN so are loaded pretty fast
  • You always get the latest version without the pain of installing a new SDK
• Improved load-time performance. This improvement will be especially noticeable if you join several rooms in the same page. Also, caching of the files is improved.
• There will be minor changes to improve the coherence of the API. Particularly, the hasCamera and hasMicrophone methods will be moved from the ApideoRoom to the Apideo object. Indeed, the fact that a computer has a camera or a microphone does not depend on the room.
